We all have some "haunting" memories from childhood -- some memories have us looking back and shaking our heads while others make us laugh and smile. I believe we are on a path of connecting with each other on deeper levels. The world continues to tell us how divided we are but I believe coronavirus has moved us in a new direction — one where we are more united than ever!

It's my sole mission: To remind people that joy exists in the most unlikely places. With my mom in the hospital and my dad in quarantine at home, we managed to have a family "get-together" and share smiles, laughter, anxiety, stress ... and yes, joy!

Joy really does exist in improbable places -- and it exists even when we don't see it. Stop and look around. You might see something that makes you laugh and smile more than you'd ever expect!

I say it often: We all have an amazing ability to touch and change people's lives every single day -- and we don't know it! This is a story about someone from my past that continues to make me smile in improbable moments.

If we pay attention, the world has a way of presenting us with all kinds of opportunities to reminisce and recall joy from our past. Are you paying attention?

Life is always complicated and we often tend to try and fill those voids with "stuff." Stepping back and making an intention to have less can be a transformational thing!
